FUNCTIONS:
1. Periodic implementation of quality Assurance activities in line with Federal Ministry of Education.
2. Handles Registration and other private school matters such as, under taking regular Evaluation of all schools in the state to ensure effective and comprehensive implementation of curriculum standard and pedagogy through.
a. Advisory visits
b. School Approval Evaluation.
c. Follow up Evaluation
d. Full Evaluation
3. Investigates matters reported to it and submit report.
4. Monitoring and supervisor of teaching and learning in schools, ensures compliance to Government directives.
Conduct of WAEC/NECO Examination, NECO BECE and State BECE Accreditation and Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSCCE).
Closure of illegal schools.
Participate in capacity building seminars and workshops.
Carry out any other duties assigned to the Dept.
