MISSION STATEMENT
To provide adequate legal services to the Enugu State Ministry of Education in accordance with the extant laws of Enugu State on matters or issues relating to the discharge of her functions in the Education sector.
PERSONNEL
ILOMA, GINIKANWA IHUOMA
She is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu. She is a Principal Legal Officer in the Enugu State Ministry of Justice and currently in charge of the Legal Unit of the Ministry of Education. She has sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information. She conducts her work with integrity and responsibility. She has good communication skills and pursues excellence in all she does. She is committed to the Enugu Education Transformation.
DUTIES/FUNCTIONS
- Collecting, collating and analyzing data, facts and documents with respect to legal issues concerning the Ministry.
- Drafting and filing legal documents (processes) in Court for Enugu State Government especially with respect to matters connected with the Ministry.
- Prosecuting persons in breach of the provisions of the Education Law of Enugu State and related laws.
- Rendering legal opinion and advice on legal issues and matters.
- Representing the Enugu State Government in Court in suits by or against her.
- Providing guidance to ensure the compliance of the Ministry staff with the extant laws in the discharge of their lawful duties.
- Preforming any other function incidental to the duties/responsibilities of the Legal Unit.
