Ijeoma Maria Onwuegbuna
Mrs Ijeoma Maria Onwuegbuna is the current Administrative Secretary/Principal Special Education Centre Oji- River Enugu State Nigeria (School for Blind Deaf and Dumb).
She has been a classroom teacher and Education Evaluator. As a French teacher, she has been in charge of Tourism in Alliance Française Enugu. She has participated in workshops in France, Netherland, Benin Republic, Togo, Côte d' Ivoire and Cameroun.
QUALIFICATION: BA ED (Foreign Languages and Literature UNN) M. A:( African Literature in French, UNN). DELF B1, B2 (professional Course: European Cadre ANCY France)
VISSION: To establish a school devoted to teaching and learning in the most conducive environment for people with disabilities.
MISSION: The pursuit of truth and knowledge in the overall interest of Society and People with Disabilities.
Special Education Centre Oji- River is devoted to Education and Welfare of persons with Visual and Hearing impairment.
In specific terms the school engages in the following:
Mobility Exercise for visually impaired students.
Braille: The students run courses in braille as well as Vocational studies, Agricultural Activities and Art/ Craft.
Sports: The Deaf/ Dumb students play football and games.
Cultural Dance: All the students participate in every Wednesday Cultural Dance.
