Today, the 30th of August, 2024, the Honourable Commissioner for Education flagged off the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Center for Experiential Learning & Innovation Project, in the Enugu State College of Education [Technical].

This is to reaffirm the press statement made by the Executive Governor of Enugu state- His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, a few months ago,  on providing a Center for Experiential Learning & Innovation in Enugu state which would be a pivotal hub for fostering innovation and practical education, and aimed at sustaining and expanding the impact of the Enugu Smart Green Schools initiative.

 The Center for Experiential Learning & Innovation [CELI], would be a center for training teachers for the Enugu Smart Green Schools, Enugu Smart Senior Secondary Schools, and Enugu Smart Senior Vocational Schools. A center that would train Directors of Experiential Learning, who would head the Enugu Smart Green Schools; a center that would train smart teachers and export them to other parts of the country and of the world.

The Center for Experiential Learning & Innovation is the sustainability plan of the Enugu Smart Green School projects, an initiative dedicated to promoting environmental consciousness, sustainable practices, and technological advancements in the educational sector- as envisioned by His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.  It will provide a platform for  teachers, and innovators to engage in hands-on learning experiences that are critical for the development of practical skills and sustainable practices.  

The Center for Experiential Learning [CELI] project would be fully funded by TETFUND, with a delivery timeline of 6-months. This is in support of His Excellency’s reassuring political will and sustainable investment in the state’s education sector.
