In a powerful display of support for academic excellence and sustainability, the Executive Governor of Enugu state, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has awarded full scholarships to the pilot graduates of Enugu Smart Green School, Owo campus. The prestigious award was announced during a courtesy visit by the students to the Ministry of Education by Prof. Ndubueze L. Mbah, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, who praised their commitment to learning and education.
The scholarship grants the students access to continue their studies at Holy Rosary College (HRC) and College of Immaculate Conception (CIC), two of Enugu State's most esteemed public institutions. Speaking at the event, the Commissioner encouraged the students to view this feat as a stepping stone to future success and a foundation for meaningful contributions to Enugu's development as they are the future of Enugu, and their journey doesn’t end here.
Further encouragement came from the EU-UNESCO consultant, Mrs. Pauline Pam, who inspired the students to strive for greater excellence that will announce them beyond Enugu and across the globe. Dr. Mrs. Chinyere Onyeisi, the Director of Experiential Learning at the Smart Green School, Owo Campus, also emphasized the importance of upholding high moral standards as they pursue their academic goals.
Representing the Enugu state scholarship and education loans board, Mrs. Evelyn Nkwuo reminded the students of the high academic standards at HRC and CIC, emphasizing the academic standards required to maintain the scholarship.
In response, the scholarship recipients expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Governor, the Honourable Commissioner, and all ministry officials for their investment in their futures. They pledged to honor this support by striving for excellence and making the State proud.
