In a momentous event highlighting integrity and commitment to public service, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ndubueze Mbah, was presented with the "Service Ambassador Award" and a "Certificate of Integrity Stewardship" by the NGO, Advocacy for Peace and Value Orientation. The NGO, led by Comr. Abubakar A. Oyibo, visited the Enugu State Ministry of Education to acknowledge Prof. Mbah's ethical leadership and dedication to a corruption-free society.
Comr. Abubakar noted that the NGO's mission focuses on fostering a society free of corruption while promoting ethical leadership and a spirit of service among Nigerian citizens. He revealed that the Commissioner’s recognition was based on merit, as an independent assessment evaluated various governmental ministries, departments, and agencies. Prof. Mbah’s outstanding score of 95% is a true reflection of his integrity, selflessness, and commitment to genuine service.
Prof. Mbah graciously accepted the award, attributing his success to the visionary leadership of Enugu State's Executive Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. He emphasized that Dr. Mbah’s administration is founded on principles of Transparency, Traceability, and Accountability, guiding the state toward transformative innovations aimed at boosting Enugu's GDP from $4.4 billion to $30 billion.
The Honourable Commissioner also commended his team at the Ministry of Education for their resilience and collaborative efforts in achieving the state’s educational objectives. His remarks highlighted that the accomplishments within the ministry were due to the dedication and collective contributions of all team members.
The Permanent Secretary expressed gratitude to the NGO for recognizing the Commissioner’s contributions, also extending appreciation to the ministry’s staff for their transformative efforts under Prof. Mbah’s guidance.
